Bangkok blijft gespaard
Bangkok is gespaard gebleven.
No dreaded flood in Bangkok
Bangkok has been spared. The Thai capital has locally significant flooding, but the dreaded flood has not occurred. Most of the water of the continuing monsoon rains has been through the Chao Phraya, which flows through the city, transported to the Gulf of Thailand. The authorities also report that the water in some affected provinces as Singburi, Angthong and Ayutthaya decreases. It is expected that the water level will not rise. The northern provinces of Thailand were hit hard. The rainfall is the heaviest in fifty years.
